Oh, rainy days and rock reviews. Good times for Snidely and better times for you! Yeah, I’m back in the metalepidemic.com review hotseat and I’m ready to bite into some good rock and roll for you to check out! Let’s see what we have for you!

Today we’re taking a look at WILDSTREET. This is a band who has made an appearance on the Jimmy Fallon Show and had it’s music used by the likes of E! That means old Snidely expects quite a bit from this band. Did they deliver!? Musically, this is a grease covered, sleaze fest at it’s best. From the grimy Tennessee Cocaine to the closing Mother, this group is dirty and rocking to the hilt. They have that gritty, but well dressed feel that reminds me of L.A. Guns and KIX. Big sounds, and grooves that keep you feeling like you’re down in the dirt and ready to rock out. Yes, they deliver!

Lock Driver has got the drums on lockdown from the start of the album. He is rock solid and heavy as can be for this type of music. Johnny D sits right in the pocket and grooves along in good style. He even showcases his sound with the opening of Three Way Ride by starting the song with a filthy, down low groove. Jimmy Marlowe and Dom light up the guitars with nasty rhythms that swirl around and keep the songs rooted in the grime. Nice and sick. Eric Jayk on vocals is nice and melodious. I’d change one thing about the whole thing if I could. Eric is a very good singer. He has a feel that works great with the band, I just feel like he needs to turn up the attitude one more notch, because to Snidely it sounds like he can. His vocals are awesome, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like he’s got another level that I’m not getting on this release. Maybe it’s me, but I just feel like he’s holding back a little bit compared to what he can do. But hey, I’m reviewing what could be now, and that’s nitpicking. Do I love it … hell yeah! I’m just bitching because I wanted to love it more, and that’s not a bad thing at all.

Overall this band is dirty and sleazy, how rock and roll should be. I caught some strong hooks that made me want to sing along in the release. Especially on Midnight Children and Born To Be. Raise Hell almost reached that level, Tennessee Cocaine was close and Three Way Ride was dead on. Three Way Ride is a fun ride and has that anthemic feel, definitely cool to rock out to while doing stuff around the house. Since old Snidely has to do the housework while he listens to some of these, it rocked his way through the day. Definitely a band to check out!
