Crypts Of Despair from Lithuania return with their second full length album, All light Is Swallowed On Transcending Obscurity Records. The opening track Anguished Exhale wastes no time introducing you to the tight musicianship and crushing tempo of this great death metal album! All Light Swallowed is succint in the title of this new album. There is no light at all. You are blessed with moments of less chaos and the punishment slows enough so you can catch your dying breath.

Choked By The Void is one of my favorites off of this album. Once again the musicianship and music stabbing your ears leaves scars of appreciation. The screaming vocals and death metal growls, double bass onslaught and insane riffs, drag you through this very dark journey. Bands like this are the reason I still love death metal at age 44. For many years listening to hundreds, maybe thousands of bands, Crypts Of Despair spike my tone up and put a smile on my face. The kind of DM that pumps you up to want to see them live so you can be a bulldozer in the pit, create your own chaos into physical form from the madness of the music in your ears and embedded in your brain!

Excruciating Weight is a song that switches from the fast blasting to a mid- tempo plod, letting you feel the crushing pressure on your lungs as you asphyxiate. Synergy Of Suffering follows closely like vultures and hyenas making sure to clean every chunk of flesh off of the bone. The Great End, obviously the last track on the album; the last exit, the final destination. Jim Morrison would shed tears of joy for this misery. The Great End is our great end, and a great end to a great death metal album that is soon to be a classic!
