If Pantera had been a death metal band, they would’ve sounded like Internal Bleeding in 2025. A part of the New York death metal scene from way back, Internal Bleeding has been decimating speakers for over thirty years. Comprised of vocalist Steve Worley, guitarists Chris McCarthy and Chris Pervelis, drummer Kyle Eddy, and bassist Ryan Giordano, Internal Bleeding plays groove-based death metal with plenty of attitude and enough slams to keep the pit moving all night long.
Settle All Scores is Internal Bleeding’s seventh album and first for Maggot Stomp, and it sees the band bridging the gap between hardcore and brutal death metal more than ever before. The riffs hit like concrete blocks, the breakdowns are built for pile-ons, and the vocals ooze that old Long Island swagger. Internal Bleeding sounds hungry again, blending knuckle-dragging heaviness with streetwise attitude in a way that feels authentically theirs.
With Settle All Scores, Internal Bleeding reclaims their throne as kings of groove-laden brutality. It’s a record built for the stage, for the pit, and for anyone who misses when death metal had bravado. Three decades on, these veterans haven’t mellowed, they’ve only gotten groovier.
