German Blackened Death Metal outfit NO SHELTER have today unleashed their brand-new video for “Schizophrenia”! The track comes from their upcoming album, “Remission/Resolve”, set for release July 25th via THIS CHARMING MAN RECORDS.
No Shelter was formed in May 2017 by members of Weathered, Unrest, Maré (ex-Kalypso), New World Depression, Under Hoods and Lizard Fist. The sound of the band is comparable to acts like Trap Them or Entombed. In short: Pissed, Swedish Death Metal mixed with Hardcore. Besides playing many shows since their existence, they opened up for bands like Cannibal Corpse, Yacopsae, Escuela Grind, Nervosa and Teethgrinder. Parts of the band are active in the DIY Hardcore Record label, which has released some of the bands records. Through the DIY-spirit, the band takes care of creating and printing their own merchandise together with Santa Diabla.
“Shizophrenia” is the first of three singles from the Emsdeathens Hardcore/Death-Metal outfit, with the music video shot by the bands friend, Felix R. The end result is a hammer and a nail!
If you were a fan of the bands previous efforts, “Rest In Death” (2020) and “Erasing Life” (2022), then you’ll be happy to hear that “Remission/Resolve” is just as convincing in all respects – if you have a soft spot for bands like Trap Them, Nails or Entombed, you will certainly get a thieving grin on your face here.
Recorded in the Tonmeisterei, No Shelter hammer on our nerves for 12 individual acts…with a really big mallet! There are actually quite a few varieties of modern extreme music to be found in the guys’ oeuvre – slow, destructively broken, maltreating, raging, in a D-beat gallop they mill their way into the auditory canal. It’s a deep bow to their Swedish metal friends from the late 80s/early 90s, a hymn to the HM2-Zerrer, which has set a whole generation of young death metalheads in motion.
